I first made this recipe with 1/2 cup of mashed sweet potatoes, and it seemed like a regular onion dip. When I looked at the intro, I saw it suggested using 8 oz of canned sweet potatoes. This is one of those situations where measure by weight has been confused with measure by volume. The source has the recipe posted the same way. I ended up adding more mashed sweet potato, although I don't think I quite got up to a full 8 oz. I took it to a potluck, some people like it, some did not. I thought it was pretty good, and the yogurt was definitely healthier than sour cream. Served with carrots, celery sticks and red and yellow sweet peppers.
