Southern Sugared Peanuts (Paula Deen)

"A tasty little treat from Lady & Sons cookbook. Note: On the Food Network site, this recipe is called "Dianne's Sugared Peanuts" and does not include the salt. The baking directions are also a bit different: "Bake until the peanuts are golden, about 12 to 15 minutes, stirring at 5 minute intervals.""

  1. Turned out perfect!

  2. I made these several years ago for Christmas. I used pecans instead of peanuts and added about 1-2 tbsp cinnamon as well.

  3. These are absolutely fabulous!! I have made them many times to take to card parties and there is ALWAYS an empty bowl to bring home! They are very addicting though, and you'll find yourself eating the entire bowl!

  4. Peanuts are NOT on my list of "must haves" by any means, but these are really good! Crunchy and sweet - PLEASE remind me not to make these again when the DH is home! Thought he would make himself sick, he ate so many! LOL A real keeper - thanks for posting!

I live in the San Francisco area and love it here. I discovered Recipezaar (then Food.com..Genius Kitchen) in 2001 and have been so happy to have my favorite recipes stored safely here. I am mother to 7 and grandmother to 7. I love to knit, smock, sew, etc., but my favorite hobby of the moment is traditional rug hooking. This is a sample of what I do.? It's called "November".? I dyed most of the wool myself. It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
