Delicious flavor and tender peas. I have been eating canned peas every New Years but the flavor is gritty. This recipe is easy and the flavor is amazing.

Delicious flavor and tender peas. I served these as a side dish. I didn't have a ham hock, so used some diced smoked Black Forest ham - perhaps a little too much. It was a salty ham so these came out very well seasoned. I will serve the leftovers over rice for a nice leftover meal. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Made for Bargain Basement Tag.
