I have tried many Mac and cheese recipes and this by far was the best! The only change I made was adding about a 1/2 tsp. of nutmeg. It turned out perfect! Thank you!

The BEST mac and cheese ever! I think the secret is cooking the 'raw flour taste out' which is why I never like any other macaroni recipes because its too flour-y tasteing. I only discovered this recipe recently and have made It several times already. The only thing I change Is using whipping cream instead of thickend cream as I dont eat It. TY ewells

I made this for a group and it was a hit. Next time I'll use better quality cheese though... with a bit of a sharper taste. (just my preference). Overall good stuff though...

Ok, at first I was skeptical due to trying several baked macaroni and cheese recipes with no luck. That being said, I am so happy I went ahead and tried this one anyway. The only change I made was to add a tiny bit of garlic powder and a few passes of Lawry's season salt along with the cayenne pepper ( I omitted the salt). I am truly impressed with this recipe and am debating on running to the store to grab hubby some quick cupcakes for his pot luck and keep this batch of goodness all for myself! Thank you for a great recipe!!

Yum! Total comfort food! I made a half batch yesterday for lunch and it was so easy to put together! At first I thought it seemed like a lot of liquid, but it cooked up nicely! I used a shot of cooking spray instead of buttering the pan and also used Land O Lakes fat free half and half for the cream part. I used paparika in place of the cayenne, just a personal choice. What a wonderful taste and the little crunchy buttery breadcrumbs on top just add a bit extra. This will definitely be repeated here! Thanks for sharing your recipe! :) Made for PAC Fall 08
