  1. Combine the salt, cumin, paprika, black pepper and red pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Rub over the roast.
  3. Place the onion and green pepper in the slow cooker and add the pork.
  4. Combine the barbecue sauce and brown sugar and pour over the meat.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
  6. Transfer the roast to a cutting board.
  7. Trim and discard the fat from the roast.
  8. Using two forks, pull the pork into coarse shreds.
  9. Serve the pork with the sauce on sandwich rolls.
